Easy to Apply 4 step illustration and information sheet  for fast professional results.

First remove any old grout, silicone or other residues from all the time joints, then brush or vacuum the joints to remove any excess. With a clean cloth dipped in acetone or paint thinner remove all surface dust. The entire surface should be clean and dry for maximum results.

Follow the next four steps using the illustrations as guides.

1. Cut the tip off tube square and the nozzle at 45°. Attach the nozzle and place the tube in gun. Place backer rods in joints, where required, to avoid excess wastage of silicone and to ensure silicone adheres to the two working surfaces. On both horizontal and vertical joints, be sure to trail the silicone behind the nozzle and fill the joint completely. With vertical joints start at the bottom working upwards. Apply only as much silicone as can be worked before skin form - usually up to 10 minutes, depending on the temperature.

2. Using the Smoothtex brush, with minimum pressure, apply generous amounts of Smoothtex leaving the last 5cm free of Smoothtex. This allows the next area of silicone to adhere to the last if required.

Note: Smoothtex cannot come into contact with surface before silicone is applied.

3. Use the applicator to remove excess silicone and form a smooth and tidy joint. Be sure to frequently dip the applicator in the Smoothtex. By holding the applicator at different angles it can be used to remove various amounts of silicone needed to achieve the joint size required. Dispose of excess silicone thoughtfully.
4. For a final touch-up use your finger, dipped in Smoothtex, with minimum pressure to smooth over the joint.
