Tile Spacers - 3D, Cross, T and Wedge

3-D Ceramic Tile Spacers

This tiling product has been developed in response to the problems arising from rigid plastic tile spacers being left in joints between tiles. These problems include:
 

• Tiles cracking and lifting because these spacers are not flexible enough to absorb any sort of movement at all.
• Spacers left in joints can show through the grout.
• Grout colour can vary if there is not uniform thickness of grout in all joints.
• Grout can also crack in joints if spacers are set too high in the joints.

Using the 3-D removable spacer which will ensure a perfect job every time can solve all of these problems.

The 3D removable spacer comes with three sizes in one (1.5mm, 3mm and 5mm) which means both large and small wall and floor tiles can be laid using the one spacer and the spacer can be used over and over again. The best way to use them on walls is to space one tile, bed in the next tile, clean up excess adhesive, place the straight edge of the 3-D spacer between the tiles then place the 30D cross at the joint.

On a floor tile installation, once the adhesive has started to go off the spacers can be removed and used again, however with wall tiles the tiles will need to be set firmly before removal and reuse of the 3-D spacers.

Again the major advantages of the 3-D spacer are that tiles can accept movement (expansion) with no interference between tiles, you can maximise grout in joints ensuring the same colour grout throughout the job with no spacers left to show through the grout, you need one spacer for all jobs which can be used over and over again and from a retailers point of view you only need to carry one product in two pack sizes not 3 different sized spacers in 4 different pack sizes.

We would anticipate that a tiler would need only about 200 3-D spacers to cover all jobs for a long period of time. The 3-D removable spacer will ensure the best possible tile installation without any call backs and problems.
